Sara Leanza

Sara Leanza has been teaching secondary English/Language Arts and Literature for 18 years, with particular expertise in Classic American Literature. She studied at The Ohio State University and Rowan University for her undergraduate degree and earned her Master’s at New Jersey City University.

In her spare time, Sara loves spending time with her daughter and family, traveling, exercising, and binge-watching good shows. She especially enjoys the Fall season and Halloween, when the air is just crisp enough for a cozy sweater. She’s also a fan of coffee, sushi, and listening to the rain at night.

As an educator, Sara’s goal is to help students find truth in fiction, always emphasizing literary analysis to deepen understanding. Her subjects of expertise include American Literature, British Literature, Greek Mythology, formal essay writing, open-ended writing, critical reading, writing, and thinking, as well as creative writing, film-to-literature analysis, and media studies.
